It had been so long since Sharon had experienced a rush like this. Jumping out of planes, dodging bullets and driving in high speed chases but this, this moment right now was much more exciting. They spend hours on her couch tongue battling like teenagers’ hands wondering and all that good stuff but nothing crazy. It wasn’t time for crazy though they did seem rather crazy for each other. After about three hours and many different positions on the couch they needed to take a break, not because they were done but because their stomachs were protesting loudly. Dinner was the amazing dollar pizza stand on the corner where they stood around a small standing-only table sipping on a soda each and talked and talked and talked. Steve shared stories of his past, things she knew both knew and didn’t know while she shared stories about herself and how she became so close with Fury after her parents died. If it wasn’t for her Aunt she would not have met the man and probably wouldn’t be as high in S.H.I.E.L.D. as she was, even though she certainly deserved it. A week went by and Steve seemed more okay with the situation that had happened and keeping her word, she made no mention to Director Fury about whether she told Steve or not and she kept everything very open with him about her life and who she was instead of trying to hide behind a pair of glasses. Agent 13 walked through S.H.I.E.L.D. with newfound confidence that seemed to surprise even Black Widow who always seemed to find her way to her. “So listen Sharon.” The redhead said as she caught step with the blonde, knowing full well she couldn’t dodge her for too long at the elevator with her arms full of papers. “I really want to introduce you to someone.” “Listen, I appreciate the offer but I’m just not interested in seeing someone.” The blonde said, the corner of her lips curling into a small smile as she attempted to hide it from the redhead but to no such luck. “I see that.” Black Widow said in a slightly playful tone. “Look you might be seeing someone or crushing on someone, but I have someone who’s better for you. Just…” Ding the elevator door opened to an empty container. “hear me out. I think you two would be perfect together.” As the blonde stepped inside the newly repaired glass elevator Black Widow continued to speak, attempting to stress the importance of who she was talking about but not invading the blonde’s space. “He’d be great for you and I think you’d be great for him, it’s…” The elevator doors shut, cutting her off as the blonde mouthed ‘I can’t hear you’ and the elevator began to climb. Someone better than Steve? Not a chance.
