Well, I can tell you that after 12 years of getting them, I am still not used to it. Mine actually required medication when I first got them as they were causing the left hemisphere of my brain to swell beyond safe limits. So, in my case and for anyone else with migraines of that caliber, I expect there to be no way to get used to it. 

Also, little side note, if I have a migraine, don't ever give me math problems. Even simple addition becomes a complex operation with migraines. I dunno why it hits my ability to do math so hard. It also for some reason causes me to get really creative. Some of my best poems and stories came from migraines.
