Perhaps but it just excites me more creatively speaking to see how the world and the people in it changed over the five years before the RP starts rather than treading the same ground without a set end goal. I actually think alternating scenes in small doses would be more interesting than one fight = one issue. I do agree with just streamlining in general however.

But then again por que no los dos? We could do Prequel, First Blood, then whatever. The next iteration of the thread will feature all of the political extremist groups as well as PCs that are villains, mercenaries, company heroes, vigilantes, celebrities whatever so the title for that one in my head is "Land of the Free." Plus a prequel might just make the NPCs more relatable. I'd love to see the initial Awakening, the Abattoir Case, and Polaris's fall from grace among others depicted in all of their glory.
