Name: Lilibeth Kalbfleisch Nicknames: Tumblin’ Jill - Earlier career as acrobatic grenadier and dual wielder Puss in Boots - After stealing the legendary ogre-made Seven League Boots and killing a series of them during the ogre wars Appearance: Body is covered in a shocking amount of cut and burn scars, from torture to war efforts…with these scars like the numerous stripes of a cat, and the magical knee high boots she later comes to possess, she gained the nickname of ‘Puss in Boots’. “The worst of the scars are visible when the last of her clothing comes off.” She stands at five foot ten inches high, and her hair has been comfortably short. http://www.wallpaperup.com/uploads/wallpapers/2014/03/09/292160/f7a4280b020828333d19b8ab229dbed2.jpg Age: 25 Affiliation: Chaotic Neutral Magic Capabilities: Besides putting the Seven League Boots to use, she wears an amulet to ward off unwanted magic-juju…it doesn't actually work (she don't know it), but she feels vaguely safer with it on her person. Weapons: (Since losing the index, middle, and ring fingers of one hand in a skirmish, she has become limited as a Grenadier and dual wielder…she currently leans on using the Seven League Boots for most occasions.) Grenades – carrying several small flasks, they range from explosive liquids to acids, instant freeze to hard to extinguish fire, poison…most are stored especially, and are mixed in the midst of battle in the form of acrobatics and juggling, for special and high effectiveness. Dual Wield – a variety of blades…or whatever makeshift weapon she can find. Seven League Boots – ever been kicked by boots that can travel seven leagues in an instant? After gaining then from a slain ogre, she became a near unstoppable force to avoid. The knowledge of usage comes to the wearer magically, and disappears once they remove it. A certain intelligent shapeshifting ogre, ‘Marquis de Carabas’, tricked her into using the boot’s second function just when he was about to be curb stomped…the second function being time and space travel, with thrice clicking of the heels. Strengths: -Acrobatics and flexibility -Speed and dexterity -Unbelievably lucky, to be surviving up to this point -Childishly hung up on some dude’s death…? Death wish? Weaknesses: After living her childhood as a food-poison tester for nobility, spending much time making her own grenades later on (and having a god awful habit of dibbing and tasting the ingredients to identify the unlabelled substances)…her health isn't great, and though it wasn't evident at the start of all this grenadier business, she has begun to suffer from a number of illnesses. Her ability to speak has been stunted by not only a personal enemy of hers cutting part of her tongue out, but also by being minorly addled by toxins and poisons in her lifetime, causing her to have such speech impediments before the mutilation. She’s none too smart, after inhaling chemicals and toxins to hell, but she has strong instincts…that also lead her to troubling situations. The thing is, she isn't fearless…far from it. But when she sees something that scares her, she goes against nature and runs straight into the flames. Despite her use to the special boots, she is freaked out by magic of this and that sorts, after a friend turned into a dog after struggling with a lifelong curse. Relationships: Jack – a constant friend of hers in her youth, to whom she had the biggest crush on…till his untimely demise, being pushed by a local boy and then hitting his head on a rock. After such a mundane death, she began to obsess about dying gloriously…for him. Over time, she admits she’s very much over the death of her friend…but the idea of dying gloriously, recklessly, it still hasn't left her mind. Jack Be Nimble – her long time mentor in acrobatics, part of a performing troupe, whom she met after running away from home and her responsibility. They had a bit of a thing going, before he succumbed to a curse…he tried to escape it by revealing his real name (John Nathaniel, not even Jack!), but much too late. In a week, he had turned into a little dog. Unknown Child – most assumed she straight up murdered it, since it was born quite weak, apparently. Rumpelstiltskin – from what she remembers, a new recruit just before she… Brief Bio: In her early childhood-preteens, as the youngest of twelve daughters, there would be little to nothing left for her. In fact, she was sent to work in a noble's household as a food tester, reacting badly to this and that poisoned foods...learning to trace certain others by taste. It wasn't expected for her to do much else in the future. If her body became to poisonous for effective food testing, for even childbearing, she would be brought to work in a brothel instead. Still, there was shelter, and the food was delicious (despite the poisoning). It was at this time that she met her childhood sweetheart, a boy named Jack. As a mere servant boy, his job was to fetch food stuffs, and pails of water from the nearest well. They spent much of their early years together, when they had time, just chilling and not worrying about the future...he affectionately called her "Stumblin' Lil", though her clumsiness had more to do with the poisons weakened her body here and there, but she was happy. Of course, happiness doesn't last for the peasants. During a trip to fetch water, Jack bumped into the son of a merchant. After much apologising, and then a bout of pushing, Jack was shoved too hard and died hitting his head on a small rock. She discovered his death when she entered into the servant's quarter's, seeing the boy's body on the table as the household said their prayers to the boy who had passed. Despite the morbid scene, she couldn't help but noticed the dirty brown paper covering his face, since the servants were too poor to spare good cloth. Lilibeth laughed, laughing even harder when she learned how he died...got her first scars on her back from the whipping she received. After living her usual way, up to her teens...she catches the glimpse of a performing troupe, and without a word to family and her household, runs away to join them. In their several years of travelling, she learned much about acrobatics, and defending herself with dual blades...had an on and off relationship with the second Jack in her life, Jack Be Nimble, her acrobatics mentor. When she thought she was ready, she left them too in order to work as a mercenary, paying the money out of her pocket to get proper tutelage as a grenadier. Maybe it was being a woman, that spared her many a possible death scenarios. Though "Tumblin' Jill" wears her scars as badges of honor, most of them were from past failures, time and time again. Burning herself, then burning herself with acids...being caught, strung up, and tortured time and time again by those who were better than her. Still, she never hesitated, never stopped...she got better, learned from mistake, from error, still held her head up high when she met back with her mentor. Her second Jack disappeared before her very eyes, becoming "John Nathaniel", a man cursed...having to tell seven major truths, or else be doomed to turn into a dog. The intentional false name was to be one of his major truths, but after returning from a high pay job, it was quite evident by the little hopping and backflipping dog that it wasn't enough. It can't be said that Jill was never a mother...but with less than nine months, and a trip to a lake, not many ask about the child that should have been. Few speculate that she miscarried, but she went out and actually said that she drowned the weak child, since her body poisoned it all too much for it to have survived for more than a few days anyhow. It could be said that for a moment of her life, she was almost on her last legs as "Tumblin' Jill", a barely memorable mercenary. Having been paid to confront a nasty bit of bandits, she was strung up for the nth time...her tongue half cut out, and losing several fingers during her difficult escape. Leaving, and recovering...she stumbled upon quite a dreadful scene. One of the early ogre wars, bloodied battlefield of human corpses and not too many ogre. Trying to take the short way around from all this, she yet again stumbled into something unexpected...a den with a makeshift cave den, along with a sleeping ogre. With full intention to sneak past, Jill felt compelled to enter and least take a look around for the usual loot. The boots, worn by the sleeping ogre, would be the Seven League Boots...after some difficulty, nabbing them and putting them on, and instantly gaining magical knowledge of their primary function...her career as the ogre slaying Puss in Boots was history. Luck has never been so strong in a person so dumb, but after killing a few ogres, she signed on to fight along with the troops of the ogre wars. Generally becoming a key figure in the few years she fought, for being able to pretty much one-hit the ogres...once she was tricked into using the unknown second function, by a desperate shapeshifting ogre...they pushed their soldier to fight/train perform harder once she disappeared. Where did she disappear to? Current Enchanted Forest...happy to find that the name of Puss in Boots is famous, but still rather horrified that her actual name never became famous like she'd like. What's worse, it's quite evident that she was previously a big fish in a small pond, unlike now--small fish in a big pond. Where she was previously a hard worker to hone her skills, everyone and their grandmother now knows how to fight...probably a sign of the times? Magic is everywhere among people, and the mention of it is the second word on people's lips.
