Shock was most prominent but no one approached them as they set down in the village- a grim atmosphere hanging over those that waited up for good news. They alone headed straight for the solo house on the hill, there was no avoiding the whispers though and the glances of sympathy that followed them up the slope. Blizzard knew that none of this was directed at him but the unlucky chief who was undeserving of anymore loss. Hiccup was relived to find his wife asleep and the healer present, he had wanted her to look at Ava as soon as possible. Only the news the woman shared didn’t bring him great relief. There was no mention of any dragon like that in their book of dragons so believed that it was either very rare or tricky. Perhaps in fooled any human that came around it with that gas? It hardly mattered. Blizzard had transformed at the mention of possible solutions and was pulling on his clothes with clumsy haste when his mother addressed him. “Yes, after I had been knocked down. The mani was over her, staring.” He stilled for a moment “Just staring.” then pulled the belt tight around his waist. “We-” He started, turning himself around before something occurred to him at the sight of Castiel. Instead he grabbed for the bag, having been thoughtless cast to the floor when they rushed in earlier. “Got the flowers. The ones in the book. You should start on the cure for the sick.”
