Aemi looked up at Mars, startled. Poor Albus was frightened out of his wits and raised his still-glowing hands. "Al, no. Don't . We can trust him. He got me out of my cell." Aemi rose from her half-crouched position. "Thanks, Mars. I daresay we owe you our lives." She took in a deep, shaky breath, trying to get the tears out of her eyes, and yelped in pain as her broken ribs moved and a fresh gush of blood came out. She pressed her hand against the wound, gritting her teeth. "Let's go. Any idea where everyone else is? I sort of lost my directional sense when I went chasing Al. Oh yes. Mars, this is my brother Albus. Albus, this is Mars." She introduced them awkwardly, then let out a hiccuping laugh at her brother's bemused expression. Bad idea. She stumbled against Mars, clutching at the wound in her side. "Gods curse it! You're not supposed to hurt yourself, Aemi!" Al muttered, grabbing Aemi by the arm and hauling her up. He looked sidelong at Mars. "Please tell me you have a healer in your group; it looks like she's going to need it."
