That they're under a single entry in the locations list lead me to believe that they are the same building with a common area and mess hall, or very close buildings separated by a single, large central hallway of some sort. Technically, a hallway need not be indoors, but it's necessarily a long and spacious corridor of some sort, with a roof over it.
