The rain continued to pour down, and Jade was soaked. She didn't have the patience to go inside and wait out the storm. She wanted answers now, and she didn't care how long she had to endure the rain to get them. It wasn't too long until she noticed a group up ahead. Two of them were rather short, but the other three were human-sized. They seemed to have all been transformed, just like her. Maybe they knew what was going on. Just as she was about to call out to them, she noticed that one of the short ones was carrying a gun. She immediately went into a nearby alleyway, trying to listen to their conversation. Walking up to the group might have ended up with her getting shot, and that was a risk she didn't want to take. She just needed some time to figure out whether she was going to approach them or get as far away from them as possible. Hopefully none of them had seen her.
