The Ark was crippled as it went through the Space Bridge. I'm thinking of having it be [url=http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/0/9241/556330-0003.jpg]G1 style[/url] in a hillside. Maybe a few defensive cannons around the entrance, although there's only like 6, which is small for a ship its size. And that's discounting any of the cannons that are irreparable, do that's a total of about 2-3 defensive turrets.

Also, on the Ark itself, it's not much of a fighter. Its primary purpose was for running away from things, which is its only advantage. Nothing but an (and I quote) "over-glorified cargo hauler". Plus, it barely had enough fuel to get through the portal, so it probably won't run anytime soon. And a years worth of Energon won't be anywhere near enough to keep it fully functional, let alone let it fly. At best it'll be a semi-functional base with frequent power outages.
