I might also be interested, and happy to help, as I have watched most of the UC series, and have at least a passing familiarity with the others through having read summaries, articles, etc. 

The [url=http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/The_Gundam_Wiki]Gundam Wiki[/url] is also really useful, and has a lot of info about mobile suits and technology on it for reference purposes. 

Also, Gurren1 - 08th MS Team is my favourite too!
