The small pokemon kept pointing his gun in various directions, and even ignored someone who was trying to talk some sort of sense into him. Of course, saying anything hurtful towards him wouldn't get me anywhere but closer to my grave, so, I simply explained "Yeah... about that, we kinda got kicked out of our old place, and since we're kinda working for minimum at this time, we kinda don't have money for our own place... that's why we're walking around in the streets like this... we didn't have a choice," I said this with a calm voice that might make someone forget that I currently had a gun pointed at my face. I honestly hoped he didn't assume we were thieves due to the 'not having money' bit, but, with what he said about the hotel, I wasn't exactly ready to stay there, anymore. Someone else then ran up to our little group with a gun in hand, and I decided to just point him out to the OTHER nut with the gun, wondering who would shoot first, and if we'd be ignored after that. I then remember the other, smaller pokemon, the one without the gun, and say to him "Hey, it was worth a try, right? Thanks," I managed to smile after that, I mean, he was a stranger, and he was willing to basically stick up for us against a guy with a gun. Some might call him naive, or childish, but I just think he's a nice guy for doing that. Sure, it might not have ended well if this guy was even crazier, but... well... people tended to at least try to keep crazy people away from guns. Whoever this new guy was, I just hoped he still had some sanity left.
