As Kuhaku landed, he safely rolled backwards towards Abel. Remaining in a low crouch as the dust he disturbed from his landing swirled around him, he peered over his shield to see that Abel had not yet attacked the mech. He frowned, confused. Turning to look at Abel, he was about to question why he was taking so long and what he was waiting for. But, he remained silent as he watched Abel hold his weapon as if he were about to throw it, charging it with his Aura. It seems that Kuhaku had misunderstood the human's powers, and that there was more to it than he knew. Blinking curiously, he watched intently as Abel threw his weapon at the mech, grunting as he did. With his weapon sailing over his head, Kuhaku's hazel eyes followed the path of the staff in the air. As it made contact with his sword embedded in the mech's torso, Kuhaku quickly ducked underneath his shield as a precaution. With a bright flash, the staff discharged the moment it hit his sword. Crackling and sparking loudly as energy coursed through the mech's body, temporarily disabling it. Looking over his shield after the flash, he watched with amazement as Abel recalled his weapon to him using his Aura. "Aww, I wish I could do that. That would come real handy right about now..." Kuhaku complained internally. Kuhaku stood as Abel approached him, his staff changing into a different form. "Let's get this over with." Abel said with finality. Smirking, Kuhaku nodded in agreement. "Let's." Turning away from Abel to refocus on the mech, it was then that they noticed a chain had shot out and wrapped itself around one of its legs. Shouting rising from the other side of the pile of rubble. "That can't be good" fretted Kuhaku. "Do they intend on tripping that thing up?..." Seeing that his sword still remained in the mech's chest, if the other two team members were to pull the mech in their direction there was a possibility that it could fall forward on top of his blade. Which, wasn't ideal at all. As effective as his shield was for a back-up weapon if he lost his sword, his combat ability would be dramatically reduced. For one, Kuhaku wasn't about to lose his sword and any reduction in ability during this test would spell certain doom. Facing Abel, he tapped the human's shoulder once with his right hand. "Hey, big guy. Do you mind giving me a boost? It looks like the other two are going to try and pull that thing down. Before they do that, I need my sword back. Just stick your weapon out and I'll balance myself on it. I hope you're as strong as you look, because I'm going to need you to toss me up there." Kuhaku gestured towards his embedded sword. Abel stared at Kuhaku silently for a few seconds, Kuhaku doing the same. Nodding once in silent understanding, Abel wielded his weapon as asked. Grinning, Kuhaku slung his shield onto his back and swiftly leapt onto the flat blade of Abel's weapon. The weapon dipped slightly before Abel adjusted his grip and strength. Balanced onto a relatively small space he looked at Abel, grinning still. "Oh, and I hope you also have good AI-" before he could finish his words, Abel spun around once. Using the momentum of the spin, his body weight and strength, he swung his weapon in a wide arc to fling Kuhaku into the air. Not exactly ready for the launch, Kuhaku attempted to correct himself in midair. He failed, slamming face-flat against the mech. "Well, at least he had good aim." Kuhaku sighed, exasperated. As he slowly slid off the slick metal and began to fall, Kuhaku quickly utilized his claws and scrabbled at the mech's body. Finding a hold, he quickly climbed its torso and made his way to his sword. Hanging from the gun barrels he bent earlier with one arm, he reached and grabbed hold of his trapped sword's hilt. Placing his feet against the mech's torso, he tensed his body and growled as he tugged, trying to pull it free. His grip slipped off of the hilt and he puffed, panting from his effort. "Damn it, why did I have to bury it in so deep?" he cursed. Letting go of the gun barrels, he dropped and stood balanced on the spine of his sword. "Sorry for this, Kladenets." with a few, swift downward kicks of his boot, he knocked it partially free. With the sword slanted at an angle, the sudden jerking and movement of the mech nearly caused Kuhaku to fall off. Sticking his tongue out of the corner of his lips, he clung to the mech's torso and reoriented himself. Reaching down, he grabbed his sword and was finally able to pull it free. "Whoo! Got it!" he cheered to himself, grinning. Giving his sword a twirl, he quickly sheathed it into his shield on his back. Readjusting his grip, he began to scale the front of the mech. Climbing up to its gouged out face, he stuck out his tongue and blew a raspberry at it. Laughing, he continued his climb and crawled over the mech's shoulder. Looking over the mech's back, he called out to Gren and the female human. "Hey! Whatever you guys are planning on doing, do it now! I'm ready for you!" Almost slipping again, he angrily dug his claws in anywhere he could and stayed. Hanging onto the mech as best as he could.
