While I'm not sure in what way I think I've come to the decision that Evie is IN love with her brother in some way, whether it's an honest sort of 'but he's my brother no one can have him he's got to marry me because i said so and i'm so frigging naive' thing or a 'I want his babies our ancestors did it so why can't we' kind of love I'm not sure yet. So I think she's constantly torn between hating him but loving him at once, it helps her that he's so isolated usually as it means her feelings can fester uninterrupted. She certainly wouldn't be thrilled at the idea of him meeting his prospective fiancee's. So she MAY have hired someone to kill him (not sure on that either) in the hopes they'd fail but prolong his single life long enough for her to get her head straight/convince her father to marry them off together for the sake of the bloodline.

Edit: Also I should be more active/around now. Kids only recently went back to school, i got the flu and only just realised I was depressed. So all thats sorted/being sorted now. :)
