CS:
Name: Carl Weiman Age: 28 Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Job: Actor (Currently unemployed) Appearance: Carl's head was awkardly large until his body grew into it that is. What used to be his curse in his younger days became his greatest asset in his adult life. A large forehead is coupled with a pair of blue eyes and a very distinctive sharp nose. He has got a hefty jaw with a very visible jawline. The mouth is similary quite wide with full lips espicially the under ones. The ears constitutes as the most ordinary feature of his head as his hairline starts high as to show that he might be losing his hair. Still the top of his head is crowned by a considerable amount of maple colored hair waving freely. Otherwise he got no facial hair including sideburns to cover his slightly tanned white skin. Standing 6 f.t tall but weighing a mere 155 pounds, Carl looks borderline anoretic. A professional choice to even further highlight his expressive face. As a method actor Carl has collected a different variety of clothes during the years but his absolute favorite jacket is a light-brown trenchcoat with black buttons and a high collar. He also likes to wear a pair of black leather gloves and a pair of black boots with a sleight heel. He also likes to carry a black umbrella part anticipating part style. Personality: Anxiety is a product of growth and necessesity. That same anxiety created by being picked on transfered to the waiting room before a big casting. Carl would maintain that his childhood prepared for a high-stress lifestyle. But although there might be some truth in that when that original emotion of unnerve comes back he might revert back to a child briefly. At first approach though Carl gives the impression of having a very thick skin. Rude some would say, definetely arrogant at times and most certainly egocentrical when it comes to work. But if you peel away the layers you would find a lonely soul unable to healthily approach his loneliness. So he fills his void with work and shallow stroking of his ego. Carl has a longlasted addiction of alchohol and prescriptive drugs. Booze extracts his sentimentality with his weaknesses and pills brings out his anger. If he is substance free though and allows himself serenity there is a possibility to find a creative fun-loving person. Background: Carl's childhood would have been ordinary if it would have been anyone but his. Being bullied constantly until he changed school at the age of 15 and consequently grew into his body, he didnt exaclty excel in making friends. There were a few around ofcourse but his own insecurites drove them away over time. His parents always supported him and give him as much comfort as possible but that isn't the same as respect from peers. The major change in his life came at the age of 17 when a come to be family prime time show decided to shoot their pilot in the town where he lived. Walking by the set in construction an arm grabbed Carl pulled him towards and crowd while the other hand fetced his jaw. As it were they were looking to fill one position on the show. The role of the brother's weird and funny friend and the rest is history. The title of the show was Neighbourhood Nightmare a dark funny show that played around with family norms. The role of Charlie Matters became the single most popular character on the show as the audience waited for him to come visit and turn the ill-fated family on its head. The show ran for 5 years and awarded Carl with an emmy nomination. When the end was nearing he started to look for a way to transfer his career from tv series to cinema. He starred in an independent production depicting a young father's struggle with raising a child and coping with his heroine addiction. Sundance took note of his performance and awarded him with a best male leading role win. Now Carl was buzzing. Hollywood was at his door, agents were lining up and writers wanted to write him roles. But privately he was struggling with an addiction of antidepressants and strong liquor. He had immersed himself so much in the role that he had lost control. Yet the charade had to go on and the promise of fame and fortune connected Carl to a script about two rivaling policemen trying to become chiefs. A comedy without much substance but with a big logo and some big names attached to it. Needless to say the film flopped but more devasting the role that Carl played got completely bashed plus during the filming he had gotten himself a reputation of being a bit difficult to work with. The result was immenent, the agent dropped him, the production company gave him the cold shoulder and media reviews proclaimed him to be past his prime at the age of 25. During this time his addiction became worse, the money he'd earned squandered at frivilous things, bottles and pills. During a year he did absolutely nothing and it would have carried on in that fashion if he wouldn't been contacted by a young upcoming agent who personally loved the work that got him the sundance award. She forced him to take control of his career again, booking castings, getting him to sharities and selling him ideas. She was not aware though of the full extent of his addiction problems, not until his last audition. HBO was casting for their new mini-series and he showed up a tornado of emotions having calmed his nerves with a combination of alchohol and pills. He groped a female cast, cursed at the director, went on a ramage on adherent furnitures and finally crashing in tears in front of everyone. His agent now finally realising the depth of his problems and tried to get him into rehab. He flately refused and after many heated hearty discussions it was decided that he would go on a vacation, to get away from stress and to find his essence. Deer Mountain State Park became the destination. A place to find calm, regain oxygen and breath like never before. The perfect vacation for serenity and introversion. Or so he thought. (He is currently sober and drug free going 3 weeks) Accommodations: Quirks: He hates to have his picture taken. A bit ironic seeing the business he works in. But he portrays characters he himself dosen't wish to be portrayed not in any way. He talks to himself if he is certain that no one is around, something he started doing when he was a child. NPC: Name: Rebecca Marquis Age: 24 Gender: Female Relationship to Character: His agent, frequently calls him on his cellphone.
I will correct any typos and grammar issues later. And I also want to say that I really like the vibe of this rp.
