All that time in the forest would certainly give her the time to practice her skills. Out of curiosity what if the forested planet she crash landed on, was the Forest Moon of Endor? The moon was discovered to have a Separatist Base on it late in the war by Aayla Secura. Kael could have been dispatched to meet up with Master Secura on Endor but the stellar anomalies in the system cause him to crash land. They'll have to scour the moon for parts to repair his ship and get them off the moon. I think this may have solved all of our potential problems!
