[/quote] The UK of Great Britain set up 13 colonies om the west cost of the US, and others in Canada, many dozens in Africa and in India. Their Empire outstripped the other european empires, many of whom had larger home provinces and populations Also, your countries position and geography might be beneficial to colonisation, as you may need less men and people to defend it against other powers and can thus afford to send more out to the colonies. Besides, you could also do with spending that money on expansion in other area's, such are your relatively low GDP
