If you want, you may PM me what you currently have as an idea for your character, and I can tell you if it is okay or not. Because in all honesty, it'll probably be fine.

I also want to say that if you [i]do[/i] want your character to be well known by the government for example, you may very well post that. Just make sure, as I said, he hasn't saved people from a nuclear bomb or similar.
