Doubtful. Even if you see similarities, if Ellri thought there was something wrong with Bor and his backstory, he most certainly would've let you know by now. Ellri does not hold back when it comes to criticism. A great many factors go into who a person (and in this case a character) is. Something inconsistent for one character may make total sense for another, solely because of other factors. Its a complicated art.
