And she actually kinda is a Sebastian Shaw (had to look it up), just more versatile in some ways. She can enhance her strength (not speed) with her kinetic abilities, and can absorb kinetic energy as well as other energy sources for her own use. The main difference is that she cannot directly change the energy conversion in magnitude. However much energy she absorbs is how much energy is being released via kinetic energy. She can't really enhance it unless kinetic energy is being taken in and she adds her own internally created kinetic energy.
