Is this a bad thing thematically? Considering his powers of sound, he would hear them coming anyway. I'd like to keep it on him, since it's something that I find endearing, but if you guys really want me to change, I have a black up plan in mind.

This statement confuses me altogether. It bolsters his echolocation skills [i]because[/i] he can make sounds louder, so they "ping" and reverberate better to create a smoother audio map for him to maneuver. Sorry, I guess that part was a bit confusing.

Otherwise, all the other criticisms are understandable, and they are sound. Thanks for putting it as plainly as possible.
