Molecular Kinetic Energy, wise ass. That is why she cannot control it mentally and why it is a biological phenomenon. Her body uses the kinetic energy produced by her own bodily function and amplifies it. THAT is why she cannot control how much kinetic energy she can output and THAT is why she cannot absorb that energy. 

Lightning is pure kinetic energy, as in it has no potential energy and is constantly in motion until it isn't anymore. Then it just becomes grounded electricity. Lightning is also plasma which is heated, ionized gas. Gas which, shockingly, is made of rapidly moving molecules that can have a structure. 

And plasma can't create black eyes, person that doesn't read before he comments. Her face still suffers injury from the punch itself. She can't mitigate that. 

As for the heat, nuclear, and chemical (amongst other energy types) these are mostly potential energies. She absorbs it, internalizes it, and biologically converts them into kinetic energy by turning ir into chemical energy. This chemical energy energizes the molecules on their scale before being turned into amplified kinetic energy. This is then released by either a motion (her arm firing off a plasma blast) or by setting a medium into motion (like throwing something). That potential energy turns into kinetic energy which then fires off the build up and creates an outlet. This is why she cannot hold onto that energy for very long. It will ALWAYS find an outlet. 

And...FIRE is NOT a plasma. Stars, lightning and some FLAMES are. Flame is not fire. Thank you, but take your self-serving trolling ass elsewhere.
