PEMPERKNACKLE LEONARTO ABERNATHY

Pemperknackle is the Head of the Wizard Council and serves as Belzeneff's right hand man. He's the one who creates and passes all the the unjust laws in Wiz, but most of it is due to the loyalty potion that he's been taking for countless years. Infact, during his youth when he served as Belzeneff's Protector, they bumped heads a lot and Pemperknackle refused to put up with any of Belzeneff's shit. He never let Belzeneff walk over him, or anyone else for that matter, and always kept the Prince in line. When Jenessa Rasiel and Valiant Mancini became Belzeneff's Protectors too, they rallied together to support him and help him recreate Wiz after his mother's disastrous rule. For a few years it worked very well and the three worked like a well oiled machine, Pemperknackle serving as the steel backbone of the group. But when Belzeneff was attacked by the vampire and Valiant was discharged from the Protector unit, things began to change. Valiant was moved to a desk job and Jenessa left due to personal reasons, and Belzeneff received a new Protector, who happened to be Pemperknackle's sister-in-law. He worked with Leondra for two years until Belzeneff announced that the position of the Head of the Council was open and he came to Pemperknackle first, asking him to take the job. He needed a man he trusted, and after being a Protector for 30 years, he jumped at the chance to try something new. The original plan was for him to stay there for a couple of years or so, but 70 years has passed and Pemperknackle is still doing the job.

The personality he had when he was younger, the one that kept Belzeneff in line from doing stupid shit, has faded (because of the loyalty potion!) which is why he's passed so many stupid laws on Belzenff's request. His wife and friends noticed the change, but everyone chalked it up to him maturing rather than he was being mind controlled. There are times where he snaps out of it and literally says "What the hell am I doing??" but it never lasts long enough to stick. 

He's been married to his wife for a long time and they have three beautiful children together. He was devastated when Pempan became ill and was threatened with blindness and took her to every Healer on Wiz to try to find a cure, but none could do anything. When Pempan eventually became blind, he spent most of his life savings on renovating their house to be a blind-safe environment, which meant no steps or stairs, or anything she could trip over. His relationships with his children are solid and he was very active in their lives, even with being the Head of the Council. He never let his occupation, or his lineage, get the best of him and made sure his children stayed grounded too.

He used to have super long hair when he was Belzeneff's Protector, but cut it off when he got the job at the Council and hasn't grown it back since.

PEMPAN LEOCADIA ABERNATHY

Pempan was born as Leocadia Cherie and was the oldest out of two children. Her younger sister is Leondra Cherie who is Belzeneff's Protector, and also his mistress. Her father was a friend of the late king Belantino, so both she and Leondra were childhood friends of Belzeneff, though moreso her sister than her. Belzeneff was always too arrogant for her liking so she never got too close to him. When his father died and his mother became Queen, Leocadia's family moved to the East and stayed away from the Main City. Leocadia and her sister returned only when Bellarose was gone and Belzeneff reigned as Prince 9 years later. She bought an apartment with her sister and began working as waitress to make money. Her sister was eerily obsessed with meeting Belzeneff again and it was all she ever talked about. Her, on the other hand, was more interested with the man with the bright red hair who worked as his Protector.

She didn't have the chance to meet with him until much later when Leondra began seeing Belzeneff and would often drag her along on their dates. With Leondra and Belzeneff, and Valiant and Jenessa together, she had no choice but to talk with Pemperknackle the whole night. Not that she didn't want to of course, but she was too shy to start up a conversation most of the time. But he was easy to talk to and in no time, Leocadia felt herself falling more and more in love with him. Even after her sister stormed off and left the city after finding out about Belzeneff's other lover, she and Pemperknackle stayed in touch and would go out on dates whenever he had the day off.

This eventually led to marriage and she changed her name to Pempan Abernathy. Their children Pempal, Pemmels and Pemberley were born in the following years and Pemperknackle left being a Protector to being the Head of the Council. They were granted with a lavish home where she raised her kids with love and the five were a perfect happy family.

Twelve years ago, she began to get sick and went to go see a Healer about it. She was surprised to find out that instead of it being a common cold, it was actually a disease that would eventually lead into blindness. Panicked, they tried everything they could to stop the spread, but nothing worked, and in just a few short months, she was left completely blind. But with her supportive family, she doesn't feel like she has a disability, and with much practice, she is able to do everyday tasks without the aid of others.
