Angiel is the son of Angeles Apollos, who later changed his named to Seraphion, and Abigail Aristarr. His parents ended their relationship when Angiel was a child because his mother did not want him in his father's rebellion. He lived with his mother the poor district in the Main City. Angiel grew up with his loving mom and the occasional visit from his dad, but when Angiel was 30 his mother was attacked and killed. His mother was from a middle class family, but because she was illegitimate she was disowned and left to live in the poor district, and her lack of wealth and social status meant that pretty much nothing was done about her death. Appalled, he moved down to The Under with his father and decided to join the rebellion after realizing how corrupt the council and royal family was.

Ten years ago, he decided to spy for his father by becoming a knight. He took on the identity Abiel Aristarr in order to pass the background check because his real name would only raise questions. Abiel rose through the ranks throughout the years and is now a part of Valora Mancini's squad. He also became a mentor to Bellerophon Black when the prince decided he wanted to become an executioner and Abiel had jumped at the chance to offer him training in order to get closer to him. Abiel is using the friendships he has made as a knight to further his father's cause, even though it pains him to betray them.
