The flaming disks did the trick as they cut through all four of the copies of Zekin, however he did not reappear after they were gone, but his voice seemed to come from the four corners as if they were still there.

"You have absorbed my energy, a very useful technique to be sure but there is more to winning then power. On my planet when a stronger opponent challenged you, there was no denying the challenge, stronger or not you still faced that opponent. There was one of my kind who was no really all that strong, but what he lacked in strength he made up for with impressive techniques that had but one purpose, to disorient and confuse his opponent into defeat. That same man was instrumental in my training, and many of my techniques were once used by him. One of his moves for example was to disappear because he was very fast, and would attack while moving, complicated to be sure but very effective."

While Zekin was talking to Amber he used this as a distraction so that she would not see the orb of energy that was rushing straight for her back.
