If you rise in amaryth and don't immediately stir up trouble you'll actually be treated quite well.

If you do stir up trouble, the army (and its battle Evokers) will of course respond in kind. If you plan to do that though, I'd prefer you don't show up [i]tooo[/i] close to Alessia, as I'd really prefer she [i]not[/i] get snapped like a twig this early on in the RP. She is after all, so defenseless in personal combat that even a thug with a broken bottle could kill her (if he got past the bodyguard, which pretty much any Evoker can do).
