His eyes stared blankly at the passing clouds as the aircraft followed its course. It was Gen’s first year at beacon, a fresh beginning full of new experiences. A clean slate where he could make friends, and become viable in the eyes of those close to him. Those were his hopes, at least. Whether such dreams could become a reality was a completely different trial, one which he wasn’t too skilled in. His line of sight trailed towards the other students who were around him. All of them were individualism easily triumphed Gen’s sorry attempt at expressing himself. Each students was unique; whether it was in apparel, weapon choice, or overall anatomy, they all had distinguishing qualities. Unlike the other students who were draped in more flashy attire, Gen subsided to an ordain green hoodie, a tie of a similar pattern, a white undershirt to make the neckpiece more pronounced, and a pair of black jeans. Not by any span of the imagination did he appear as a child of a renowned house, known for producing eligible hunters and huntresses. He glanced back at Sagaciter, the rifle which was slung over his shoulder reflected the sun’s rays, the luster of the weapon was almost blinding. His attention was suddenly drawn by a giddy laugh to his left, followed by a grown of displeasement. Gen looked to his side and made a slight smile as his vision focused on his two companions; Aggressor and Exuberance. They were both aesthetically the same as Gen in every aspect, except for expression. The two were personas the teen’s mind had manifested during his time in Signal, both of which have their own views and way of tongue. The giggle from a few moments ago originated from the one closest to him, E, who was leaning halfway over the railing. His widened eyes were filled with a childish sparkle as he stared at the clouds, ”Wow! We’re so high up~ I want to eat a cloud! I wonder what clouds taste like? Compassion, do you know what clouds taste like? I bet they’re yummy in my tummy!” If E. was actually human, he would have most likely suffocated from lack of oxygen by this point. Since he isn’t bound by the chains of reality, he acts without the slightest of a care. By this point, E. had already began twirling around energetically with his arms raised high, singing a hymn about the condensed delicacies. Gen noticed that E’s counterpart, Aggressor, was leaning against the railing with an annoyed expression. The furrow in the manifestation’s brows grew deeper and more pronounced as his opposite’s incessant singing continued on. It was only a few seconds until the loose seal broke loose, letting all of his built-up anger fly out, ”Would you just shut up already!? I don’t care about your stupid clouds or your weird eating hab- Hell, you can’t even eat, since C. never gives us the driver’s seat!” He yelled at the top of his lungs, quickly shutting up E, gaining both of their attention. Gen was used to A.’s constant complaints about never being given the controls, though it was for a good reason. Both of the secondary personas were inexperienced when it came to controlling a body, and such a diverse change in personality would raise some questions. Gen sighed and met A.’s eyes, staring them down with his usual kind expression. All he had to do was make a modest smile, and keep eye contact with Aggressor. It wasn’t long until the persona resolved to giving up, realizing he had crossed the line. Though the angered tint in his retinas quickly returned as he looked around, ”Tactician’s been kept up to date, right? Wonder what that lazy bastard is doing right now. It’s annoying as hell when he just randomly takes controls. You’re way too lenient with him.” A. scowled and rubbed his chin, meanwhile Exuberance chose to speak up, ”He is right, you know. Before we got here, he squashed that poor innocent bug after it bit you! That bug was just trying to stay alive, it probably had a family. I’m sure its wife and children are waiting for their daddy to come home as we speak!” E. pouted as he began to sniffle, probably thinking too deeply about the deceased insect. “It’s alright, E. We can make a funeral for it when we get to Beacon.” Gen muttered reassuringly, making sure nobody nearby heard him. Since they are both figments of his imagination, he had to be careful to not appear insane to those around him. Aggressor snorted and made a devilish grin, ”If I was him, I would have kept that bug alive. Then I would have taken it to its home, and murdered it in front of the whole family.” He dreamed, the image of the family in despair was frighteningly satisfying. A. turned to the other two and noticed that Exuberance was cowering behind Gen, obviously scared half to death. ”Compassion, you don’t need Tactician to fight those big mean monsters! You need him to take care of this sadistic psychopath!” E. yelled, jabbing his finger in an out at his counterpart. Though before A. could retort, Gen quickly raised his hand, cutting off the conversation from escalating any further. “Give me some space for the time being. I have to converse with some people.” He said quietly as he leaned away from the railing. Taking in those around him, Gen began to start off towards a student, but stopped as soon after his first step. Both A. and E. glanced at each other, then stifled their own form of laughter, ”You have no idea how to start a conversation, do you?” Aggressor teased maliciously, obviously showing no sense of self-control as he laughed. Gen sighed and walked off towards the drink bar, hoping to grab a cup of coffee. Once he took his seat, the two secondary personas remained standing, as per the usual procedure. “Who knows, maybe somebody will walk by and see my lonesome self, and feel the need to greet me out of pity.” He muttered to himself as he raised the cup, savoring the bitter taste of the beverage. "So this is my first inscription within my new slate, eh? A cup of coffee." Gen narrowed his eyes at the plastic cup, swishing around the liquid inside. He simply shrugged and continued to enjoy the drink, "In all honesty, it's a pretty good first chapter."
