He was eager to get out of here and actually begin this quest, even if it turned out to be a giant hoax it should at least prove to be much more fun and interesting experience than anything else he's done. His walked adopted a sense of pride and excitement it never had before, for once he was actually excited for something, felt like he had a real goal to accomplish, and people that he could enjoy it with.
