The lack of popularity for this thread is probably because Emote is a pretty restrictive system. Because there are no degrees of damage (only no damage, damage and vital damage) hard-hitting and/or durable characters are essentially not viable, in the end it all comes down to speed and manoeuvrability. It shuts out a lot of characters that way and depersonalizes others by invalidating things like elemental resistance and standardizing things like poison. It also has its advantages over the system we use here (which some will call T1), but force of habit is powerful and those used to using T1 are unlikely to try Emote. The extremely low population of the arena section also has something to do with it though.
