I don't usually do a lot in the way of planning character development, it just kind of happens naturally as the story progresses. Aergar, as I said before, has the potential to become better, as well as the potential to become worse and right now he seems to be hanging in the balance. The events of the story will dictate what happens. Laakari has a lot more room for growth though, being reclusive and not particularly important he could become a leader, politically or otherwise.
