Can ya guess what's coming next, punk?" Certainly not an elephant, that was for sure. Lute’s jaw dropped open but he composed himself quickly. How did an animal that size even fit inside that hat!? Sure, fireballs were one thing, but a freaking pachyderm!? “This is so unfair,” The virtuoso whined under his breath as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. The creature could probably outrun him, but escaping wasn’t really an option. Try as he might, Lute just can’t shake the need to mitigate damage from his mind, and while leading the magician on was an idea he followed through with earlier… Yeah, an elephant running after a screaming man wasn’t good for the safety of what’s left of the audience. “Oh what now!? What do you want from me!?” Lute howled as the blasé kid charged towards him. He decided to wait until Cammie was close enough to redirect him off balance, but then a loud crash drew his attention to the space far behind the elephant, towards a tent where some of the escapees hid when Elena appeared. Screaming, amplified by Delilah’s perception, reached his ears, and so did the sound of snarls and cloth being torn apart. A bear rose from the ruins of the tent, and it was quickly approached by a hostile gorilla and lioness. “Wait, I recognize those two. They’re with Abram, right? If so, that bear…” Lute muttered to himself but he couldn’t quite believe it. From their time in Aliquam and in the trek that came after it, he saw a glimmer of reason in the eyes of the summons Lucien had produced. This bear… It was too far off to tell for sure, but its body language was clearly hostile- Distracted as he was by the new commotion, Lute barely had any time to react as Cammie reached him. The virtuoso tripped over the magician’s foot as he ducked, also hitting his forehead against the other boy’s shoulder as he did so. “Wait, stop!” He was definitely sure he saw someone trapped under the thick swaths of canvas beside the bear. He had to get them out before the beasts fought! In his sudden scrambling of objectives, the virtuoso didn’t realize that the way he was hurtling towards Elena and Sammie could be interpreted as something else.
