"Oh, his attacks are hot? Really, I hadn't noticed," Takeshi remarked, sarcasm dripping in his tone. His hands were indication enough that Viral's attacks were indeed hot, very much so. Normal Ki however strong didn't burn, not like the Beastman's power did. Glancing down at his raw palms for a moment he lifted his head, frowning at the mention of their friend's valuables. Right, his cleaver and scarf, they had managed to lose those in the ensuing scene. They couldn't have gotten too far, and a quick search later he spotted the cleaver a few meters off, sticking up out of the ground. Grasping the cold blade with his injured hands Takeshi winced as he lifted it up, finding a little relief once the blade rested on his shoulder. "The snow won't heal it, though maybe it'll feel better..." Eying the snow thoughtfully he leaned over, placing his palm flush against the white ground below. Immediately he drew his hand back, cussing under his breath as he gave his hand a shake. Nope, that just stung, no doing that again. They would have to wait to patch up when they got back, unless the Narbu were so inclined to give him some help, which he doubted. Since he was lugging around Viral's cleaver, Shu could take the scarf. Might as well give something to do while they were here, otherwise he'd just start running around all bored. The item in question wasn't particularly hard to find, practically waving to them as it clung to a post on one of the homes. After spotting it Takeshi directed his brother over, watching amused as he went about retrieving it. But of course he made a spectacle of it too, starting off by tumbling down onto the snow. Sure he got it soon after, expressing his happiness in a way only Shu knew how before coming back down. Chuckling in amusement Takeshi gave a shake of his head, going to ruffle Shu's hair but stopping, thinking better of it with his burned hand. "Good job, you're the galaxy's best scarf-fetcher. If we ever need one again we'll know who to turn to," he said jokingly, flashing a teasing smile. Hearing his sibling's woes Takeshi reached out, taking the scarf carefully before lying it over one of the younger boy's shoulders. By twisting it around a bit he managed to wrap it, making a small covering that went right up to just below Shu's eyes. "There you go, now let's go meet the others," he added, starting to walk towards their friends. Vegeta was in too much of a hurry to get this done with, they needed to slow down, for Viral's sake. Pushing him now was only going to make things worse, he needed to rest. While a hut in the middle of the tundra was scarcely ideal Yumi would take that over the elements for now. If the Narbu were willing to be hospitable then she wasn't going to question it, far be it from her to question alien customs. Once she and Vegeta had gotten the Beastman into bed she placed herself at his side, sitting cross-legged with her back to the wall. Feeling Viral's eyes on her then she glanced down, smiling kindly as she reached up and scratched at one of her ears. "You look like you had one hell of a time fighting them. I'm guessing you took them on by yourself?" All five of them? No, only the big one looked like he'd been in a brawl. So Viral and the big Narbu had decked it out, over what exactly? They were here to try recruiting these people, not fight with them. Then again, perhaps it was the fighting that was their means of recruiting. Show of strength or some nonsense, the usual male pissing contest. Smiling exasperatedly Yumi let out a faint sigh, closing her eyes for a moment before looking back at Viral. "Win or lose, you look like you gave him hell, nice job." Whatever the Narbu had in mind Vegeta was positive they had something superior. Helping Viral was a generous notion, but unnecessary. If they could just provide some kind of clothing for their friend to wear, more than his worn ones, they could bring him back to the ship. The Chieftain had gone into the other room it seemed, and was only now just returning. The alien had traded in his previous outfit for a set of plain robes, a dark beige with the exception of a white inset that ran down both the front and the back, a cloth wrap tied around his waist to hold it together. Behind him was a smaller Narbu, carrying with them a tray with several mugs on it. One was offered to Vegeta which he took, glancing down at the murky, hot liquid inside. Sniffing curiously he was a bit off-put, the smell bitter and not quite appealing. The same beverages were offered over to Yumi and Viral both, to which the former took two glasses for each of them. At the head of the room the Chieftain had sat down, sipping at his own drink for the moment. Seeing a chance perhaps to speak, Vegeta walked across the room, stopping a few feet shy of where the Narbu sat. "Sir, if you've got the time we really should discuss why we're here. I'm going to assume my friends have already told you?" What a shame that duel had ended prematurely, it seemed so promising. Viral was unlike any opponent he had fought before in that his powers and abilities were completely foreign. Saiyans, no matter how strong, were still Saiyans, and most exhibited the same strengths. Narbu he knew inside and out, and the Chieftain was familiar with many other races as well. But the Beastman was something new, something exciting, and he'd noticed that from the first moment they met. It was why he was so keen on fighting, to see what new challenge might be brought. Ah, but something had gone awry and now here they were, sitting inside the communal house winding down from the fight. Hearing someone approaching as he sat the Chieftain lifted his head, acknowledging Vegeta with a glance as he sipped away at his drink. "Ah... Yes... The rebellion. Your friends did mention it, kor tak al ban. That was the reason for our duel, to decide if we might ally ourselves with you." Hard to say right this moment seeing as their contest hadn't officially concluded. Viral most likely would have lasted the ten minutes, but the Chieftain would rather be certain. "You should drink, dar'um. This liquid warms the body and relaxes the muscles, a splendid way to relax after a tiring battle."
