"1, 2, 3.. 6, that makes six." Kaori watched as others entered the small sanctuary, pushing herself off the windowsill and landing on the wooden floor with a thump. she stumbled across the room, each step making a different creek sound and finally stopped after she reached the door. She peered into the hallway from behind the door and examined the new arrivals. She looked each one up and down trying to guess their appearance age and their real age, deeming too difficult she took a step out from behind the door. The floor squeaked as she stepped on a loose floorboard in the hallway startling her for a moment before she remembered that this house is 'safe'. Sure, it could be safe from the hunters, but it wouldn't be surprising if it collapsed in on itself. It's a pretty old house in all fairness but it does the job.. probably. As she looked closer she began to overhear the conversations, no black swords, feeding off humans and something else she couldn't catch well enough to put into a sentence. Strange.. why aren't my ears picking all of that up? She looked down closely at her hands. She was pale, not the undead kind of pale, the shade that you become when you haven't fed for so many days, the pale you do not want to be. She walked over by the cellar door and took a deep, hard breath in getting the smallest scent of humans as she leaned in to open the door she stopped herself. Putting her index finger joint inbetween her teeth and sighed with annoyance. I can't eat unless we all eat, right? Like back when you couldn't start your meal until everyone was seated? She shook her head and turned listening to the accent heavy man finish off his sentence and lead it to a silence that was somewhat awkward, wanting to change the subject quickly to avoid any more silence she said the first thing that came into her mind. "So, er, what's everyone's name?" She shuffled in her spot uneasily, hoping to get a polite answer from the other vampires, knowing some can be slightly rude and other extremely intimidating- especially the Russian.
