"Oops!" Devika flinched as she managed to knock Nicholas over. She fought down the wave of embarrassment, and even took his arm to help him up. Letting go as soon as he was on his feet, she straightened her gloves and laughed very softly. "I'm sorry, Nick. I didn't mean to do that."

"I hope so." Kijani murmured. That one statement could have been in response to anything Connor had said. Hopefully the talent show would be a distraction. Hopefully she would do well. Hopefully Connor would always be around to help. That last thought gave her pause. She did not always want to be needing help. Even if Connor was happy to give it, she was supposed to be able to handle herself. She had to do better... 

"Do you want to eat together or anything? I have an idea for a routine in my head, but I can put it together really quick." She gave him a very gentle kiss. "I feel like we haven't relaxed together in a long time."
