While his father was Duke of Schleswig-Holstein, he sold the rights to that duchy to Denmark while his son was of legal age. It is our collective position that this was illegal. He was within his rights to abdicate, but not sell his son's rights. Therefore, it is our position that Frederick ought be Duke of Schlewig-Holstein, and assume its position and votes in the German Confederation. We therefore demand the King of Denmark remove all military forces from the duchies in the next 24 hours and begin negotiations immediately, or we shall be compelled to employ force.
