The orbs are items that she uses magic through, right? And the orbs are already junctioned to her anyway (presumably using the junction drive beforehand) so as long as she keeps her drive on her, she'll be able to use them.
It's best not to think too heavily into the details to be honest; the only reason junction drives exist is to give me a way of rendering characters helpless from time to time.
