[s]This is precisely why magical girls should be on a timer and then become a[/s] RE: setting. I kind of think that it'll depend on how the characters will be able to obtain power strong enough to deal with magical girls since they sound very... invulnerable. I mean if it was going to be something like 'steal the power from m.girl lair' or 'steal the m.girl familiars that could potentially grant 30-year-old-otaku-men magical girl powers', then the resistance action within a normal daily-life setting seems most fitting [to me at least]. They would band together and infiltrate the lair at night or whatever. If it was, like, the amount of magic in the air from the m.girls' constant use which made some people are born with anti-magical girl power; in this case the 'protection' of m.girls would've reined long enough for the next generation to be born and grow up which in turn means that no one was able to successfully fend off the m.girls for a number of years and would most likely have fallen into a dystopian magical city. I imagine if this was the case then there would be no great evil to fend off which will make them either cage humanity in the dystopian city and every-so-often come down and do whatever they want with people, even going far as making it a battlefield and actually hurting the people themselves; or make them into slaves, stripping their freedom to do their bidding with the twisted sense of 'protection'. School setting seems, um. Unfitting mainly because m.girls are governing in a city-scale protection regime... right? Though, if whatever powers that be wanted to create that many m.girls in the first place, it seems very sinister or does not comprehend morality. I-it's not like I want to roleplay a fat thick glasses-wearing unhealthy skinned and big-lipped guy in his early forties wearing frills and swinging a wand at... things.
