They aren't as sensitive to sound, they around sensitive to mass and movement. If they were to have pilots, large battles and weapons that fire loads of projectiles, whether turrets that fire hundreds of high-speed projectiles, or turrets that fire loads of missiles or flak. That's why they mainly just have lasers and that disruption cannon. Of course, by the time someone figures out that "Hey! That screws up your brain and kills your very mind!", you'll be dead, and unable to send a message. Unless, of course, it was in a big fleet battle, in which there will be nearly half a dozen of them, and will be sweeping through you. That's a good way of forcing peace. Anyone who attacks just *boop*! brain dead.
