"Good for you," Tai replied somewhat disinterestedly. For some reason, he had a problem with a person explicitly stating that in their first meeting they had been showing off their abilities. If he could kill them all, then why had he let himself get cornered in the first place? To engineer a situation by which someone would be forced to come to his aid, thus ensuring he got a partner with decent combat skills? An interesting, and probably effective strategy, but one that Tai found a little morally queasy. Or maybe he was just averse to the showing off portion. Personally, he would try to brag or otherwise exaggerate his abilities, and thus leave people with a false impression that could be disastrous later on.
