Max smiled at the warmth shown by the others in the room; maybe this would go alright after all. Ryoko had confirmed her earlier thoughts, they were indeed all part of Vlad's experiments. And now that they were introduced, she took some time to actually look at the new people, which animals could they be then? 

Roxy seemed lithe and slender; perhaps some form of cat? And Ryoko, she noticed, was wolfing down a hamburger; a meat-eater then. Lee, however, perplexed her. Were his eyes covered as a result of the experiments? She shuddered at the idea of losing her own sight.
