~As you like,~ Aysus replied, nonplussed by Tahaan’s unexpected reaction. It knew what Tahaan said was true; it had understood that when they were making the matter. They were to do what they did, and that was what they did best, and that was what made what they did work the best. But the frustration and dissatisfaction from earlier still sat within it. They each did what they did, and things did not work when they tried to do what they did not do. Yet hadn’t this brand new universe for them come from when they did two different things to one thing at once? This new universe couldn’t have come to be if Aysus had made Aysus things, and Tahaan had made Tahaan things. It took both of them to make something better than it had been. For a moment Aysus hesitated, wondering whether it could express this idea through words better than it had through actions. ~But just because something is an Aysus thing does not mean it should remain an Aysus thing. The whole universe was once an Aysus thing, in a way. And it is not anymore. I don’t know if it is better for it, but it is now far more than just Aysus and Tahaan.~ A ripple passed over its body, before it turned away, leaving Tahaan to play with its Aysus thing without interruption from one who could not understand.
