Although there was parts of education that Calvin really enjoyed, the real reason why he was so eager to return to Hogwarts was to see his friends, as, although he had seen them over the holiday, it had been quite a rare occurance that he had been able to spend more than a few hours with one of them as his mother didn't like visitors and she was always paranoid about him travelling long distances alone - she wasn't about to stop him, but he felt bad making his mother worry, so he tended to stay home and help look after the farm. After preparing his mind for the coming day, he cleaned and dressed himself in a plain black hoodie and some jeans and headed out on to the porch, where he stood and looked out across the farmlands, the crops all very healthy and prosperous, partly thanks to his own magic. Today was the day he would return to Hogwarts. Calvin nodded to himself after ensuring that he had everything he needed. He had made the mistake, in the past, of being underprepared for the first day of school - but not this time. His treasured wand, the very same that he had been given several years ago in his first visit to Ollivander's in Diagon Alley, was already tucked away with his luggage. Hark, Calvin's owl, had already left for Hogwarts several hours ago - Calvin had purchased Hark around two years ago, and despite his stubbornness and lazy nature, Calvin appreciated the companionship of Hark, and he was useful when it came to communication. Not only that but Calvin had made sure to get all the correct books for the year ahead, meaning he wouldn't have to burden any of his friends by leeching off them for another year. After giving one last farewell to his dear mother, Calvin smiled and pulled his luggage back in to the farmhouse's old fireplace. He dove his hand in to a small pot of floo powder and took a breath. "King's Cross Station," Calvin spoke out as clearly and calmly as possible, ensuring he would not end up in some obscure location. Seconds later, he found himself in the bustling London station. He slowly made his way towards platform 9 3/4, where Hogwarts Express had arrived minutes previous. After storing away his luggage, Calvin made his way into the carriages, finding one of the many empty compartments. He then sat and waited for the arrival of his friends.
