Hello, folks! The roleplay's interest check caught my eye, so I decided to take a look around and see what it was all about. I'm pretty humbled by the wealth of information that's been written into the background, and the setting is really gripping. The 14th-15th century is among my favorite historical periods in Europe to study, so I'm naturally drawn to its hand in the roleplay's inspiration. I'd like to jump in and write up a character; maybe helping a bit where needed with the setting. 
Although the story is centered on Valania's struggle, the kingdoms of Vectis and Vorst are really interesting to me, and I was hoping I could base my character's origin in either of them. The hint of their military activity in the south and the connotations it has for Valania catch my interest!
