What your character will be doing will depend on what kind of character you make, but there will be a lot going on. As you said, with both the turmoil among the nations and the threat of Malfear. For example if you make a Valarian rebel, you'll probably be dealing with the war for independence whereas if you make someone from Gorgon you'll probably be involved with the Blackwater vs Briar claim on the throne... etc. Your characters don't have to all be on the same side, as it's likely many of you will fight for opposing ideals. The Necromancer plot will more than likely just serve as a method to give your characters, people fighting for such different causes, a reason to possibly unite in the future. Then again, maybe you don't want your character to unite at all, maybe your character is a Ferronian nationalist who thinks Malfears return is an opportunity for Ferros to be top dog again. Maybe you want Malfear to destroy the rest of the nations while Ferros sits safely atop their mountains. 

The plot of the RP will more or less revolve around your characters and their struggle, goals and aspirations. I'll probably be tailoring the plot to your characters, so I suppose think of this as more of a sandbox RP then a roleplay on tracks.
