Woop, Don't want ugly debates obviously! It ruins the fun....but umm. I'm a huge Doctor who fan, I only personally really dislike three episodes over the last few years. I love Capaldi so far, this is the only episode I feel annoyed by.. But, everything has a bad episode...Doesn't stop me getting mad at it.
Hmm, I'm just used to seeing harsh backlash to most Capaldi episodes all around, really. Sorry for lumping you in with that, then.
Clara asks for everyone opinion on whether to wait for this egg to hatch or save the WORLD! (Also they only really ask The Americas and Europe because meh apparently.) Then ignores it...so...good for you Clara. Sometimes I'm annoyed at these a need of one over the need of 7 billion! Not a hard choice really. Sure some people can have this to being fair to just a baby....but 7 billion!
Well like I already said, she was under a ton of pressure, and they made it pretty clear that her thinking was crowded more by adrenaline than anything else. Plus, to me, it really looked like they were just hoping for the earth to keep their lights on - or at least Clara was. The fact that she stopped them from killing it at the last moment kind of reinforces the idea that it was a split-second decision, rather than something she took the time to think through.
Also I meant the other two astronauts who died. no point, I like one off characters if they have a point. But they were there just to die. And that one guy kept breathing really heavily.....stahp.
Eh, I guess you got me there. Still doesn't kill the episode.
Also, They said it was the dalek's invasion was the pivotal moment? I was more talking about Steven saying "things would never be the same after kill the moon" but I was being very vague. i apologize.
Huh? Dalek invasion? What are we talking about?
Also, it's a space whale. It could hatch from an egg..cause it's a space whale, space whale doesn't care.
I already said that, and I agree with you. I just said it was one of the reasons the writers could've had to not make it a space whale. Also, they still weren't obligated to make it one - and have a plethora of other reasons why they didn't have to use one. Including just not wanting to. Not including a space whale doesn't hurt the plot at all. It's just a missed opportunity - and a mild one at that.
Also them being a one-cell bacteria makes no sense! They're a size of a badger? Me no see how that works...
They never said "one-cell" bacteria. They just said "bacteria". Given the fact that this creature is the size of (or, rather, literally is) the fucking Moon, I'd say the spiders were probably about the size, compared to it, that the billions of bacteria living on your body are compared to you. So, maybe they're not literal bacteria, but the idea that they're tiny creatures living practically on this thing's skin... yeah, I get what the Doc was saying.
That whole thing on Courtney talking about "how she was special" was perhaps the most stupidest few lines. I felt most of Courtney lines was terrible. The only good bit I felt as the last bit with Clara leaving. Even if the reason was a bit awkward. And all she did was make that one face. Just that one face of "bleh" Just...no more of her please. Let her live her silly life.
I really can't argue against this since it's purely an opinion thing - so I guess we'll just agree to disagree on Courtney. I apologize in advance if I eventually make a set of her, though. :sun
The edits were just weird. there were a few accounts of random slow motion that made no sense. Running down the corridor really slowly with random explosions behind them? why....just....why? Slow motion jumps. Weird camera shots. Also, What the hell was with that metal panel blocking the breach. That was beyond stupid.
I honestly don't remember any of what you're talking about. That could have something to do with the fact that A) my internet derped out a couple times during the 1st half of this episode, so I wound up missing a few seconds here and there after the stream crashed and I was forced to refresh and then wait for it to reconnect, so I could've missed some things, and B) I feel like I honestly don't remember a lot of the 1st half, since, once they addressed the egg thing, I became a lot more invested in the episode, and it kind of blew everything before it out of the water. The first half kind of pales in comparison and I really can't think of any particular moments that stuck with me - save for the references to Four and his yo-yo, which I really enjoyed. I mean, as soon as he said he was "gravity-testing", I was waiting for that thing to come out. And sure enough, I saw the yo-yo pretty much as soon as the thought crossed my mind. Which made it even better, for me. :lol
Go SELF esteem! And Willpower.....and.....uh....yeah
Woooo!! :toot
