Flicker. He saw Adrian holding the gun and preparing to kill him. "I couldn't have done all of this by myself, of course. The numbers. The money. He's what I was not even five minutes ago, but to the twentieth power. A so-called Messiah. My computer systems are programmed to relay a message to him in the event of my death. He may have the numbers, and the gadgets, and maybe some mystic hoodoo to back it up, and when I die he's going to come straight to the city to take up the same, foolish fight. And he's going to be more ruthless than me. But let me just ask one more thing. In this building, besides you and him, of course, are everyone in the building Carmine's thugs?"
