I was thinking both the pilot and the avatar live together, and suiting up is more of a fusion. Obviously he becomes the suit while she is the wearer, but it would be fun to do.

Questions:
What is currently the standard accepted means of defence, armour or mobility? Basically is it standard to dodge shots or is it worth it to have heavy armour?
What is the upper limit with regards to the size of the mech?
Roughly how old are pilots normally? I'm thinking of a twenty something couple, would that fit?
