A conclussion! Regrouping and time to head home. --- A collab between Gerontis, Roran Hawkins and Little Alice. --- Summary : The end of the long mission between Team 7 and 2. It is time that they go home! ---
The person in the shadow kept glaring at their backs, making Kensuke also aware of its presence by the rising killing intent. ''We will meet again soon enough.'' The threatening words were spoken as the ground started to shake even heavier. Then as sudden as the mysterious shade had appeared, it vanished as the last words were spoken. ''Sensei?'' Ezuri mumbled, trying to keep up while Shisen kept focusing on just running and not wasting any breath on muttering words. "Can't feel any killing intent..." He muttered to himself, surprised by the sudden disappearance, before turning towards the squad with a disarming straightening of his back. "It's gone. Let's continue." He said, leading the way down towards the exit. As dust filled the hall from where they came from, he entered the new room while he switched his earphone communicator to the teamleader channel, hoping to get to Kiyomi. The two genin gave eachother a glance and then stored their weapons, following Kensuke towards the exit. The slight rumbling behind them and the occasional gust of dust and debris rushing along their feet startled them more than they'd admit, but both were able to hide that from the others. They'd rather die than show they were scared of what, a ground-fart? Pfff! Team 2 had just managed to regroup at a more safe distance from the bunker. Kiyomi had ordered them to check the surrounding and then their gear. While her students silently complied to her orders, Kiyomi was still wondering about Kensuke and his team. Checking her own gear, she was growing ever more worried about the person she saw as a big brother. Deciding to do something small, Kiyomi pressed her index and middle finger against the small device in her right ear, after switching from channel. ''Can anybody hear me?'' She asked, trying to not sound worried at all. "Loud and clear." Kensuke replied with the faintest trace of a grin. She had contacted him the moment he had his finger on the 'engage communications' button. "We've had some minor engagements and traps on the way, and we're just outside of the complex now. How about you?" He reported his situation to the designated leader of the mission. ''You know me. The usual. Got students that have more guts than it is healthy for them.'' Though she wanted to keep a more professional and cold look on her face, she couldn't help it. A smile grew on her lips. ''We had some engagements too, but we had success.'' Glancing at her students who took the moment to catch their breath and check themselves and their gear, Kiyomi decided to brief Kensuke on something. ''Kenta is missing.'' "That's bad." He agreed, climbing outside of the complex and looking around to spot Kiyomi. "You outside yet? You gave us a good run when you collapsed the complex, and I can tell you even the upper levels are mostly destroyed. Kudos on that one." Kiyomi sighed, throwing a look back from the direction they came. She couldn't tell him about her and Hayate's secret mission. ''Lets say that we had to do it. A rather pesky...thing was chasing us. Though it would be best to give it a proper burial.'' Kiyomi told him, bending the truth a bit. At least then she wouldn't feel like she was lying against Kensuke. Like she wasn't doing that enough to him. ''I am a bit sorry that we couldn't contact you, but I imagined that you wouldn't be phased by some shaking floor and rocks, no?'' "Eh, sure." He replied on a grumpy tone, realizing that it was slowly growing to be the tone he used most of the time. "So... where are you now?" He asked again, signalling the genin to scout the area for any immediate threats. Completely unrequired, but it was something to keep them busy with. Hearing the grumpy tone, Kiyomi was pondering if she had said something bad. Hadn't she not try to make it a kind of compliment? Maybe she was bad those, or at least not as good as she had assumed. ''I decided to regroup a bit away from the place we escaped that place. Considering that we had to make a run for it, I wasn't sure if there would be any more hostiles around. For now, I imagine that we are around..'' Kiyomi glanced at Leo, who made a few signals. ''Around 500 to 800 meters away from the entrance we came from. Want to come here or regroup somewhere together?'' "We're on our way." ----- A few minutes later Kensuke arrived near Kiyomi, Leo and Hayate along with his team, Ezuri and Shisen. And ofcourse the enormous war-hound Arashi. Just before getting into earshot he sent Kiyomi a final report on what they encountered. "We did encounter some kind of snake-beast though. Intelligent enough to spring traps and ambushes on us." "So, this means the mission is concluded?" He asked Kiyomi out loud, pointing at the surface of the complex which was still spewing clouds of dust. Examing Team 7 quickly, Kiyomi couldn't spot a wound or any worrying sign on any of them. She kept eyeing Kensuke a bit longer, worried that he would have done something in order to protect his pupils from any danger. When he informed her of a snake-beast, Kiyomi thought on what she could inform him about. ''We never managed to see what chased us. It was big and could withstand ninjutsu, like my Fireball technique.'' After saying that, she threw a glance at the complex. ''Lets say it is concluded. I imagine that everything in there is destroyed. Or at least burried.'' "Allright then. Let's get going. This took way too long for my taste." He replied, wiping dirt and dust off of himself. To which Kiyomi nodded as she turned around and gave the signal that they were going to get moving. ''Yes. Way too long.'' Though she wondered about where Kenta would be.
