Kieran was born into a middle class Corellian Family. His father worked in constructing vessels for the Corellian Engineering Corporation and his mother was an assistant at a local med-station. When he was 9 the clone wars begun, he heard the tales and propaganda of how the Republic was striking against the forces of the Separatists who sought to divide the galaxy in a bloody war. On Corellia itself there was a strong Separatist movement that never fully came to fruition enough to take over the planet, it was during one of these riots that his Father was killed, and he decided that day that he would try to protect those he cared about.

At the age of 18 the Clone Wars had come and gone and he had joined CorSec. He passed up through the ranks rapidly, mainly through his tactics and reasoning. However as the sparks of Rebellion started things began to change. Orders started becoming more about imprisonment of people without cause than protection. Scenes of crimes were ignored while they instead went after alleged criminals with sketchy details.

He was offered to join the storm trooper corps after he was promoted to Captain however refused, and then left Corellia for Alderaan like many he knew the rumours and the heavy anti-Empire sentiment on the planet. He managed to get his own freighter. Which he sold as soon as he arrived at Alderaan to avoid it being traced back to him, it didn’t take long to find a Rebel cell. In 13BBY he became part of the Rebel Alliance SpecForce regiment. Here he was trained in the various ways of hand to hand combat, maintaining some of the best weaponry the Alliance had and various infiltration techniques. Here he proved himself to be a capable leader and was promoted to a Lieutenant within the Alliance SpecForce branch.

He was given his own squad, and as their first major mission together in 11ABY they were tasked with [i]”recovery”[/i] of a Venator Star Destroyer and as such was temporarily transferred to the 5th Regiment of the SpecForces branch, due to past experience aboard a Venator that was part of Corellias home defence fleet. Masked as a unsuspecting cargoship the pirates forced them to dock, when the cargo was offloaded and stored him and his men moved out of the crates, covering one of his men while they sliced into the security systems the ship locked down compartment by compartment and then it was a simple task of clearing each individual bulkhead. 

Though due to an unsuspected Imperial Assault the Venator received damage, however Kieran and his men managed to jump the ship into hyperspace and reach the rendezvous. He was then given command of the 212th Platoon which consisted of five squads, including his own with men from each of the SpecForce regiments due to the fact that the Venator became a mobile training base. In 10BBY the major damage to the hanger was fixed and they began taking on members of the Starfighter Corps and were a major part of several hit and runs throughout the Galaxy, all the while many of the SpecForces came and gone either through death or alternate assignments leaving Kieran to train new members in various methods of combat, as well as performing basic training for other candidates into the program.

Once the ship was combat ready it was key to several raids throughout the Outer Rim and when the intel about Belona came in the Pathfinders were sent, gathered intelligence and then the ship itself was sent, after taking on additional personnel and loading up on supplies.

[b]Reason for Joining the Empire/Alliance:[/b] Nobility: He wants to fight for the values that his father was killed for, feeling that he should have actually been on the other side.
Morality: He has seen how the Empire has treated others, and more specifically non-humans and despises it.
Honour: He refuses to just be a pawn for the stronger side.
