Elric nodded towards Corinne, "Hello, and ye-" He paused as she gave him a tight hug. This event while cheerful also resulted in Elric feeling a great stinging pain from within his chest. You will not burden her with your pain, she's a delicate individual after all. He cracked a smile, bearing through the pain, and reached over to recpriocate the hug. "Now, now." He said trying to hide a shaky voice, and keeping a sense of calmness. "I'm still up and alive, the onl-" He found himself again interrupted, one by the touching moment when Corinne buried her head upon his chest. The second was from the pain that multiplied, as he was forcing himself to keep from expressing the pain. He stopped recpriocating the hug at this point. However luckily, or unluckily the barbe knew he'd have to decide, for him that moment was only a brief one. "And I'm glad you are alive, and without a single scrap or nick." Elric cocked his head towards the two bodies, "Well there was a hero I let stay the night, I found him and his daughter in a crate during the storm, which I couldn't allow to continue, so I gave them lodging. He took on the hyena, while I went up against the Gnoll." Elric paused for a moment. "The Gnoll did attack me yes. I fixed up the gash on the right forearm, and it broke some ribs." He paused as he wagged his left index finger, "Yes my ribs. It's a tad trifling, nothing to get worked over about, I'll be able to keep working. Bending over for it will be..." Elric pondered on word choice. "strenuous for a bit, probably alongside other things, but everything will be fine. You don't need to worry your pretty little head." He gave a small smile. "Are there other injured parties who need medical attention?" After all, painful, painful injuries will not stop me from helping out the community. Though it will slow me down, definitely will slow me down. he thought to himself. But there is no way it'll stop me from my job. Besides, I just got my potion delievery from Tirarian.
