With your kind of logic, a zombie apocalypse would never work because people would take a shotgun to someone's face rather than try and save them. But people are rarely that smart, even with smart people. 'Course, they're magical, so I suppose they know everything, right? Who cares about the story of the BCU escaping the station with their own lives, after the station falling to an unknown parasite. It's a game, the point is to be able to translate anything instantly and win all the battles, after all. Wait... that's not quite right...
